Anyone who has been following Justcyborgs since well most of 2011 will want to tune into The Chris Gethard Show this week
Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed our Sum Yourself Up in One Sentence episode! We had a great time. It was fascinating, fun, hilarious, and at times heartbreaking to hear and see so many members of the TCGS community explain themselves in so few words. It is good to get to know so many of you, even if it is only via one sentence. And Alien Father brought it hard – not only did they rock out musically, they brought giant heads of Me, Murf, and The Human Fish! Those guys are our kind of weirdos.
Important note: I am heading up to Boston for work. I am waiting to see if I am traveling back Wednesday night, or if Shannon will be guest hosting this week in my stead. Either way, because of this development we have to yet again push back 18th Century American Gladiators. We really apologize for the delay on this – we think it has the potential to be one of our greatest shows ever, and hope you are as excited about it as we are.
This week, we are very exciting to stage an exciting episode entitled Hey Celebrities, Come Validate Us! Basically, this one is about pandering to the celebrity community of NYC and seeing if we can’t get any of them to come join us during the hour. New York is full of actors, musicians, personalities, chefs, politicians, artists, etc – you name it, New York is home to somebody who is famous for doing it.
Now we’re definitely an underdog show. I feel like every time we get a piece of positive press they note that, and it’s totally true – we are the little show that could. Now, are we a “real” talk show? That’s up for debate. I personally think we put as much thought into our endeavor as anyone possibly could. What we lack in budget, credibility, and respect we make up for in passion, innovation, and hard work. But there’s one thing the big time talk shows have very easy access to that we don’t – celebrities.
